What is Celtx?
Celtx is a project collaboration tool for people who work in film, TV, theater and New Media. Celtx is being developed using the Mozilla application framework and is released under the Mozilla Public License (MPL).
Key Features:
- Collaboration - enables project publishing and sharing.
- Import, write and edit scripts using industry conventions.
- Perform production breakdowns by adding images and notes.
- Create a searchable database of Project information.
Features:
- Publish
Publish Celtx projects as 'Private', 'Shared' or 'Public'. Projects published as 'Private' are accessible only by the publisher. 'Shared' projects are accessible by publisher authorized users. 'Public' projects are available to all Celtx users. - Download
Download projects from the Celtx server and collaborate with team members or any other Celtx user. - Script Editor
Adhering to industry script standards, Celtx allows you to add, edit or delete script elements while retaining the script format. Scripts use standard format elements such as Scene heading, Action, Dialog, Character Extension, Parenthetical, Transition and Shot. - Production Breakdown
Perform departmental breakdowns of your script by highlighting the text of the script and assigning it to the appropriate department. Production breakdowns use industry standard conventions (Character, Extra, Location, Props, Set, Wardrobe, Camera, Lights and Sound) Images and notes can also be attached to the script and breakdown elements. - Database
Build a database of digital resources used in the Project. - Reports
Generate reports for your project.
